ready4MINT is the 11 month bilingual university preparation programme by Phorms Education in Frankfurt which prepares you for your academic entry into the STEM study fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (german MINT - Mathematics, Information technology, Natural sciences and Technology). The universitiy preparation programme was set up to build a bridge between academic knowledge and academic requirements and thus facilitate the transition to university. The aim is to provide the best possible basis for a technical or scientific course of study by focusing on the learning areas of STEM. The programme is bilingual in German and English.
Particularly important are our practical modules both in the school's own laboratories and with our renowned partners in science and industry. Two one-week internships and an internship lasting at least one month will help you gain insight into your chosen profession and make useful contacts.
A good start is key. Unfortunately, there is a very high drop-out rate especially in the STEM sector. Due to the COVID-19 challenges, which schools and universities in particular are facing, the discrepancy between school knowledge and academic requirements is increasing. We support you in the step into your studies and close any existing gaps between your school knowledge and the academic requirements. The basis is our STEM programme and our highly qualified pedagogical staff. Together we will develop an academic competence profile, which includes the technical and bilingual STEM area as well as the self-organized learning area (learning to learn) of the course of studies, thus providing you with a secure foundation. We will also prepare possible entrance tests if they are required for your future studies.
With deepening the STEM learning area, you get to know all relevant areas and can focus according to your own preferences with the help of optional subjects. We will also jointly examine and answer the question of the right subject between the more and more specialised study programmes. With the help of the STEM study area you will get to know all relevant areas and can focus on your own preferences with the help of electives. We will invite experts and professionals from various fields to discuss with you the future and development opportunities and perspectives of the various sectors.
Due to the importance of English in the scientific and technical professions, most courses are offered in English or - depending on the English level of the participants - more and more program units are gradually being completed in English. Even if you are planning to study in an English-speaking country, you will benefit greatly from our bilingual program and teachers from English-speaking countries.
In a globalised world, independent medium-sized companies increasingly operate on an international level, so English is often an important requirement for employment.
